The excitement is building! Ganesh Chaturthi is just around the corner, and homes are preparing to welcome Bappa with immense love and devotion.

But amidst the festivities, there's a silent problem: the immersion of idols made from POP and synthetic materials that poison our water sources.

This year, the GEER Foundation offered a beautiful solution. We hosted a special workshop at Indroda Nature Park where artists taught children and adults alike how to sculpt their own Ganesha idols from natural clay.

Seeing more than 180 participants, from the youngest children to eager elders, carefully shape the clay with their hands was a powerful reminder that true devotion is mindful. They didn't just learn a skill; they created a memory and took home an idol filled with personal meaning and zero guilt.

This Ganesh Chaturthi, let's carry that spirit forward. Let's choose eco-friendly idols, support the talented local artists in our communities.

Let’s welcome Bappa in a way that he would truly approve of by respecting and protecting his creation.
